I took some much needed time off my phone during the long weekend, and it really helped me direct my energy, mind and time elsewhere. I loveee this community, but taking the time to disconnect in order to fuel yourself and your loved ones is so important. I needed, and wanted, to give myself a break to be present in reality. And now I feel a little bit more recharged. I think it’s good to be mindful of where you spend time and energy 💛
I’m curious, do you think disconnect from technology enough? Or no? If yes, what’s your best tip for disconnecting? If no, what’s your hesitation is doing so? If you don’t want to comment here, I shared these question prompts in my stories ☺️ In other news, I definitely need to prep more of these BBQ crunchy chickpeas, made with @primalkitchenfoods unsweetened BBQ sauce. They were next level in a flavorful nourish bowl like this 🤤
dEATS: Wash and peel a can of chickpeas (a pain but worth it for that crunch) then dry roast in the oven at 400F for about 15-20 minutes, stirring twice to prevent sticking. Remove and add 1 tbsp avocado oil, stir to coat, then 2 tbsp @primalkitchenfoods’ BBQ sauce, and stir to coat again. Roast for 10-12 more minutes, stirring halfway through to prevent sticking. Eat right away, or warm up later (they won’t be as crunchy if you reheat later).
I added them in a nourish bowl with quinoa, roasted sweet potato, steamed broccoli, sautéed grape tomatoes, half an avocado, hemp seeds and @soomfoods tahini. #healthbyshortstack
