Last sunday I went to San Telmo with two lovely photographers. We took some pics, explore some points of the city and have fun. Hope you enjoy these photos!
PHOTO 1 and 2: "French Solar Gallery" is an old Residence located in the heart of San Telmo, in front of the traditional "Dorrego square". Now a days this residence is a cozy, small shopping center where you can buy traditional argentinian cloth, antiques, tango posters, ceramic crafts and more.
PHOTO 3: "San Telmo antiques and craft fair" is a open-air crafts and antiques market, this market is the ideal place to find an original souvenir from the city such as clothes, signs, coins, photos or even traditional old glass soda siphons. While you are walking you can see differents churches or Basilicas, in this photo we can see the Basilica of San Francisco.
PHOTO 4: This is where some of the first homes were built in the early years of the colony, and these elaborate mansions later became "conventillos" (tenement housing) for european immigrants. If you want to see more visuals about this "conventillos" i will upload a video with some footage where you can see these buildings with more detail.
PHOTO 5 and 6: in pic 5 we can see The Cabildo of Buenos Aires this building served as an important administrative building during the first centuryof Argentine Independence , and in pic 6 we can observe the "Circulo de Suboficiales del Ejercito and my friend Nico posing for this pic, haha. Both buildings are located in Plaza de Mayo.
