9.10.12 – 2.12.20
It pains me to write this, but it is time.
On February 12, Spezza very unexpectedly became lethargic and shortly thereafter began having some issues breathing. Immediately we took him to the vet, where the prognosis was grim.
I am grateful to have had Spezza be by my side for the last 7 plus years. I will miss his smile, his unmistakeable groans, and his unique toller traits. Spezza wasn’t the perfect dog, but he was OUR perfect dog. Love ya forever Spezzy, you were my bestest buddy!
From the days working at the farm which where we met Spezza’s eventual adopted little (but big) brother Franke, to our road trips all over BC, including Tofino, Nelson, Kamloops, Sicamous and Vancouver to our most recent road trip to California. I’ll never forget the adoring look I’d always get when I would take a peek into the backseat. The most perfect toller eyes looking up at us from our walks, or from your many beds throughout the house.
Thanks for an awesome seven years Mr. Spezza, you really did help prepare us for a kid, and you brightened our lives each and every day! We will remember you, always!
Keep rocking that awesome toller smile, and say hi to Poncho and Boomer for us! LOVE! “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” A.A. Milne (Winnie The Pooh)
