What is UP BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE The sun was shining today and it gave me such a good feeling!! Anyone who lives in the Midwest knowssssss the struggle of the winter months It’s like 5 months of cold plus it’s always cloudy and gray out!! So when the sun shines I reeealllly take it in and appreciate it Speaking of... does anyone else struggle with SAD (seasonal affective disorder)? I never really struggled before but this year has been super difficult for me. Progress not perfection... • I started this journey because I wanted to lose weight not realizing it would be so much more than that. • I was pretty depressed.... like hard to get out of bed in the morning depressed. Like lay in bed till 1 pm because you physically can’t get out of bed depressed. No one knew... except me... I was just very “tired” ... which was the scary part I was isolating myself and not even letting anyone in. • And simply one day I took the leap and put myself first and boy has that changed the game. I didn’t realize I was lacking community... I was lacking energy and I was lacking cheerleaders... I bet you’re saying trisha what cheerleaders? But seriously the biggest cheerleaders I’ve ever met are the girls I met through coaching. Coaching took me from this dark place and it dragged me out.... because it was finally something I believed in again... and that something was myself. I started to believe I deserved more.. I deserved this life I saw so many other people creating. • No not everyone’s story is the same... and maybe yours is drastically different but everyone starts somewhere... and that girl on the left... I’ll thank you till the end of this world because she saw hope in this opportunity and man oh man this opportunity was definitely the hope I needed. •

Miguel: “In my elementary years I have always participated in sports. When I graduated high school I started eating a whole lot more than normal and I wasn’t being active. When we were applying for immigration the physician who was doing our examinations told me if I don’t start losing weight soon I will have a lot of health problems down the line. I took that to heart and I started playing sports again when we lived in Vancouver. When we moved to Surrey my shift supervisor at my first job asked if I wanted to work out with him. So he started getting me to do weight training. Initially it was just something to do but I started seeing results and noticing my body was actually changing and I started enjoying it. I also never really liked vegetables but I’ve seen the results of what healthy eating does and now I do it anyway. I previously didn’t have any self-esteem and was never confident because of my shape. I hated going to the mall because I couldn’t fit into anything. Now that I’ve seen the changes I just don’t see myself ever stopping.”

These moves won’t disappoint 😈🙌🏼 . 1️⃣Banded Wide Stance Squats You can do this as a warmup with a light long band or make it part of your working set with a heavier resistance band @thexbands. I also filmed how I wrapped the band around my feet. The more times you loop the greater the resistance! This stance will recruit your adductors and glutes 👍🏻 2️⃣SL Crossed Sissy Squats I wanted to crank up the intensity to the sissy squat machine, using only my body weight, so here it is! This was so hard for me! I could barely do a couple sets 🤪 3️⃣Landmine DL Variation I am pushing my glutes back as far as possible while my chest lowers down to achieve a deep stretch in my hamstrings. Each set add more plates!! I like using a 25lb plate and then adding multiple 10lb plates so I don’t smash my fingers when gripping 👌🏻 4️⃣Landmine Single Arm Squats My stance is wide and toes are pointed outwards. Make sure to do an equal amount of sets using each hand to hold the bar. 5️⃣Landmine Single Arm Deadlift Variation Hamstrings on fire!😅 I had to add 2 plates to the bench (towel on top for cushion) because I am so tall 🙈lol. You want your hips to be parallel with the floor (not tipping to one side). . . . These combo’s are sure to get your quads, hamstring & booty burning 😰😜 Always make sure to protect your knees by turning them out (external rotation) as you perform your squats, lunges, hip thrusts, etc! 🍑 . 1️⃣ Front & Reverse Alternating Lunge | 4x10 (each side) ⚡️ Push through your heel with each lunge 2️⃣ Tempo Dumbbell Squats | 4x10 ⚡️ Take 2-3 seconds to drop your glutes down, then push through your heels and squeeze your glutes on the way up 3️⃣ Low Side Shuffle | 3x15 steps (Left, right) ⚡️ Keep your glutes low, and try to go down to 90 degrees 4️⃣A) Hip Thrust + 1 Abduction| 4x20 ⚡️ Squeeze your glutes and hamstrings with every hip thrust, adding in a hip abduction at the top 4️⃣B) Hip Abductions | 4x20 ⚡️ Press through your heels and pull your knees to the sides 5️⃣ Goblet Squat | 5x12 ⚡️ Keep the weight close to your chest, drop past 90 degrees and squeeze your glutes at the top TAG a friend! Happyyy Thursday!! 💜 _ Sorry I haven’t posted much this week, I have a lot going on right now and need to make sure I’m focusing on myself. But I did want to come on here quick because I was just thinking about BOOTY GAINSSS🍑🍑 and how freaking hard it is! It took me so long to get to where I’m at now and if you scroll and look at some of my transformation pictures 👀 I am proud of myself. _ I still haven’t reached my goal and I started about 2 years ago consistently going. This isn’t to discourage you but this is to let you know it takes TIME & DEDICATION. Just like with anything, you aren’t going to see results over night. You have to work for it. I won’t lie my biggest struggle is making sure I eat enough good food which is so important when putting on muscle. You have to EAT. Make sure you are getting the nutrients your body needs! Taking care of your body is so important, love yourself! 🥰💕
